Mike Asheroff

Vice President
SBA Special Assets Manager

Mike serves as Special Assets Manager for Venturus, bringing more than 25 years of banking and finance experience and deep expertise in SBA and commercial loan workouts. He began his career with Bank of America and has built a well-rounded background across underwriting, portfolio management, and special assets.

Since 2008, Mike has focused on helping lenders navigate complex, underperforming credits, successfully resolving more than 200 loans totaling approximately $100 million. He is known for his thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach—working closely with borrowers, lenders, and advisors to develop creative strategies that maximize recovery while preserving relationships whenever possible. Over the course of his career, he has underwritten and managed loan portfolios exceeding $500 million.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mike led a nationwide team supporting the SBA’s EIDL program, reinforcing his ability to guide large-scale, high-impact initiatives. Prior to joining Venturus, he held special assets and workout roles with regional and national financial institutions.

Mike earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from James Madison University. He lives in North Georgia with his wife and their two dogs, Bentley and Belle. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, working out, hiking, and playing golf.
