Angela Aquino

Director of Operations

Angela, a partner and co-Founder of Venturus, has over 32 years in the commercial banking and small business lending space during which she has had significant exposure to every aspect of SBA lending. As Senior Vice President, Director of SBA Operations, she manages and oversees all matters for Venturus’ credit & closing operations, post-closing, portfolio management and servicing activities, secondary market sales, as well as many other risk, operational and compliance matters. Having started her career as a legal assistant/paralegal she developed an expertise in real estate title and closing matters, she continued to pursue opportunities that led her to significant leadership roles in Closing, Construction, and Compliance/Quality Assurance  for some of the top SBA lenders in the nation, including a 13-year tenure with CIT Small Business Lending (a prior #1 SBA 7(a) volume lender), where she served in several management roles such as a Senior Loan Account Manager, Supervisor of Portfolio Quality and Closing Manger.  Prior to becoming a founding partner of Venturus, a division of Tandem Bank, Angela held managerial roles with BNA Hana, Certus Bank (subsequently Bank United) and Q2 Business Capital.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Montclair State University.              

Angela remains very active in the industry and is a current sitting Member of the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL) Technical Issues Committee.

Now a resident of Virginia, Angela enjoys being a Mom to three adult young men, creative baking / decorating, cooking and actively enhancing her golf game!
