Danny McDonald is a SBA Business Development Officer at Venturus with more than six years of specialized SBA lending experience and a track record of over $80 million in closed SBA 7(a) loan production. Known for his relationship-driven approach and deep understanding of SBA lending, Danny helps entrepreneurs secure the capital they need to acquire, grow, and strengthen their businesses.

Based in the Tampa Bay market, Danny specializes in SBA financing solutions for business acquisitions, working capital, expansion, and owner-occupied commercial real estate. His experience across multiple SBA lending institutions has given him extensive expertise in SBA SOP, underwriting fundamentals, and deal structuring strategies that help business owners confidently navigate complex transactions.

Danny also brings specialized knowledge of SBA International Trade Loans, helping businesses engaged in global commerce access long-term capital solutions to support continued growth. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is passionate about expanding access to capital within underserved entrepreneurial communities and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the lending process.

Prior to joining Venturus, Danny held SBA lending roles with Locality Bank, Lake Michigan Credit Union, and Pilot Bank, where he consistently produced high-performing SBA loan portfolios. During the Paycheck Protection Program, he helped lead a bank-wide initiative that originated more than $120 million in PPP funding for small businesses across Florida. Earlier in his career, Danny was part owner and Sales Director of a technology startup that successfully scaled and was later acquired, giving him firsthand insight into the entrepreneurial journey and the challenges business owners face every day.

An active advocate within the small business community, Danny serves on the board of the Tampa Bay Latin Chamber of Commerce and regularly collaborates with community lenders, CDFIs, and nonprofit organizations to connect entrepreneurs with the right capital resources. He earned his MBA from the University of Tampa and a Bachelor of Mass Communications from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.

Outside the office, Danny enjoys pickleball and padle, fishing the waters of Tampa Bay, and supporting the Rays, Buccaneers, and Lightning. He believes strong relationships are the foundation of every successful business and meaningful opportunity.
