Frank Solyom

In his role as a SBA Senior Credit Analyst, Frank brings over 32 years of banking experience to the Venturus team. He began his career in Loan Review, before moving over to Commercial Credit where he further honed his strong analytical and underwriting skills. Through the years, he has developed an intense passion for SBA Lending – gaining experience in Credit, Closing, and Portfolio Management. This broad spectrum of knowledge has made Frank uniquely qualified as an expert in full-cycle loan administration – origination through boarding – that will translate to a very customer focused underwriting experience.
Immediately prior to joining Venturus, Frank was part of a small SBA division at Busey Bank, initially starting out as SBA Senior Credit Analyst and, within two years, was promoted to the role of SBA Credit Manager, where he successfully led and mentored a team of 4 analysts. During the COVID Pandemic, Frank was actively engaged with the PPP loan program where he helped process more than 6,000 loans for the bank’s commercial and SBA borrowers. Before that, Frank’s work history includes tenure with various large volume SBA lenders including Heller Financial, Banco Popular, and Byline Bank. As a highly regarded commercial credit and loan administration professional with expertise in SBA, commercial and industrial, and commercial real estate lending, Frank thrives on analyzing financing opportunities and creating unique solutions.
Outside of work, Frank enjoys traveling throughout the US and spending time with family. Further, as a member of the Brookfield Zoo, he and his family have adopted more than a half dozen animals per year to ensure they continue to receive proper care, especially during COVID when the zoo was shut down.
