SBA Closing Manager

As the SBA Closing Manager for Venturus, Jody has spent over 26 years in commercial lending, creating exceptional customer experiences and helping others.   Jody’s career began as a receptionist at a bank while working in college that ultimately led to her working the last 22 years in the SBA industry, including extensive 504 and 7a experience,  where she has developed an expertise in SBA loan eligibility, structuring, and all closing matters.  Specifically, Jody’s SBA trajectory began in 1999 as a Documentation Specialist for a local CDC before joining a midsized regional bank. In 2010, Jody became a Loan Closing Specialist for a top 30 SBA volume lender where she worked with several members of the Venturus team.  In 2014, Jody joined the nation’s largest nonbank SBA 7a lender as a Senior Loan Operations Specialist where she managed the entire loan process for SBA 7a loans for her region. 

Jody is excited to head the closing team at Venturus and continue helping small businesses across the country thrive. 

Relationships – with borrowers, referral sources, fellow teammates, vendors, etc. – are very important to Jody. She is incredibly empathetic, loves making a difference in the lives of others and thoroughly enjoys assisting customers with their financing needs.  While not leading the Closing department, Jody spends most of her free time at sporting events and having fun with her  family, including her 10 grandchildren – although she is too young to be a grandmother!
