From origination to liquidation, Marissa brings over 17 years of SBA lending expertise to Venturus – spanning the full lifecycle of SBA 7(a) loans.She began her career with BizCapital, a specialized government-guaranteed lending group under Advantage Capital, where she honed her knowledge of SBA policies and procedures while helping businesses in underserved markets secure the capital they needed to grow. Later, she expanded her skillset at First Horizon Bank, managing a large SBA portfolio and guiding complex servicing and liquidation matters.

Through these experiences, Marissa discovered her true passion: closing SBA loans and helping borrowers cross the finish line. Her deep technical knowledge, paired with her client-first approach, makes her a trusted resource for both borrowers and colleagues.

A California native, Marissa now calls Louisiana home, where she lives with her husband and two children. She’s an active supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through its annual Light the Night event and can often be found cheering at her kids’ flag football, basketball, or baseball games. When it’s festival season in New Orleans—whether Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, or something in between—Marissa is there soaking it in. And when it’s not, she’s “festing” at home with family and friends. She also enjoys yoga, Pilates, and listening to podcasts on politics, culture, and, naturally, the SBA.
