Olivia Derrick

Senior Credit Analyst

Olivia has over 19 years of banking experience in Small Business, Commercial, and Middle Market Lending. An honors graduate from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina with degrees in economics and marketing, she began her career as a Credit Analyst and SBA Business Development Officer in Columbia, SC. She then worked in community banking as a Business Banker, Senior Commercial Credit Analyst, and Commercial Credit Manager, where she developed and implemented underwriting policies and led a team of Credit Underwriters at GrandSouth Bank.

Olivia spent much of her career with First Citizens Bank in Business and Commercial Lending, serving as a Regional Credit Officer for top markets and overseeing the Bank’s Dental Lending Program. Before joining Venturus, she spent the last four years as a Senior SBA Credit Underwriter for nationwide government-guaranteed lenders.

Raised in the midlands of South Carolina by an independent pharmacist mother and a solo practitioner attorney father, Olivia gained firsthand insight into the tenacious work ethic, challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship, which fuels her dedication to supporting small business owners in her role as credit analyst.

Olivia lives in Idaho with her husband, and their two Olde English Bulldogges, Punkin’ and Stanley. In her free time, she enjoys weightlifting, hiking, hunting, fishing, kayaking, cooking, reading, and attending concerts – especially Georgia-based Collective Soul.
